Photo project „Writers in Berlin“ My objective is to portrait writers in the city environment with a combination of photographs and a biographical text. The range stretches from fiction to non-fiction writers and includes amateurs as well as professionals.

Here are the details:1. No costs, but no payments either (“time for print”)
2. Different locations, mostly outside
3. Portrait photographs in different perspectives and environments
4. Mostly available light, possibly some flash or studio lighting
5. Black & white and color
6. Mostly digital (Nikon D800), possibly some analogue (Mamiya M7, RB67, FUJI GX680, medium format, negatives will be scanned)
7. The photo session will take around 2 hours
8. You will get 5+ prints A4 plus 20+ processed files for your unrestricted use
9. I will use the photos on my website, possibly as part of an exhibition, possibly as part of a book project, possibly as part of other publications
10. Additional ideas are welcome
The photoshoot will consist mostly of a walk between several locations, where the photos will be taken. It will be a relaxed atmosphere – this is not supposed to be work, but fun.
Biographical textThe text has to be prepared by you in the first person. It should be not more than 200 words. It should contain:
1. Your name
2. Where you are from
3. What you are writing about
4. Why you are writing
5. Anything else you want to include up to the 200 word limit. You can include links to your website or to existing publications too. However, it should not be read as an advertisement.
Simply imagine what you would tell to a fellow writer with whom you have a friendly chat in a café.
